Marcos handed out a cheque amounting to Php15, 000.00 to Paralympic runner, Mr. Roger Tapia, 21 y/o of Pasaleng, Pagudpud during a press briefing held at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Capitol last August 10, 2012. Tapia will no longer be empty handed in going to London for the incoming 2012 London Paralympic Games.

“Iskolar ni Manang Imee” program

As part of Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos’ efforts to encourage parents to let their children finish schooling, 893 underprivileged elementary and high school students received stipends, through the “Iskolar ni Manang Imee” program, last August 7, 2012 in the town of San Nicolas. The Millennium Development Goals Office under the Office of the Governor identified the students who need financial assistance in order to pay for miscellaneous school fees.
