More than 4,000 participants joined the revelers’ night, the third day of the weeklong Marcos Fiesta, September 11, with 1,500 of them dancing to retell the life and achievements of the former President Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) in front of Imelda Cultural Center, Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
To further boost Ilocos Norte’s tourism campaign, Paoay Kumakaway!, the history-bound Marcos Trail, was reintroduced last September 11, with a new heritage walk situated in the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos’ birth town, Sarrat.
Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos and Mayor Arsenio Agustin greet people waiting in line at the “Capitol Express” held August 23 in the town of Marcos. “Manang Imee’s Capitol Express” is a roving one-stop shop of government services that kicked off last July. Clients needing employment, medical consultation, housing and other services can just walk into the Capitol Express which is implemented at least once a month in every town of the province.
