A public reception is set to be held this Saturday, February 1, 2PM at the newly-inaugurated Arte Luna Gallery for the opening of “Gameng ti Ilocos Norte”, an exhibit to showcase the Ilocano culture and heritage through the lenses of local photographers and abel artworks by local artists. “Gameng ti Ilocos Norte” translates to “Treasures of Ilocos Norte”.
As the countdown continues for Ilocos Norte’s bicentennial celebration on February 2, 2018, the Provincial Government is preparing the Ilocanos especially the youth for their participation in the development and transformation of the province on the following years.
After being declared as a National Park and as a bird watching site, Paoay Lake is now again gradually turning to be a training site for rowing events.
According to Mike Diaz, member of the Manila Boat Club, the lake is one of the best locations in the country for rowing competitions because of its scenic view and calm water.
